TPU film has excellent tensile properties, which makes it widely used in many fields.
In terms of tensile strength, TPU films generally exhibit higher values. The polyurethane segments in its molecular structure give the material good mechanical strength, which can withstand large tensile stresses and is not easy to break. Under conventional test conditions, the tensile strength can reach tens of megapascals or more, which gives TPU films an advantage in applications that require tensile forces, such as the packaging of some flexible electronic devices, and provides reliable protection for internal components.
In terms of elongation at break, TPU films are also prominent. It maintains good tensile properties over a wide range of strains, often reaching 100% or more elongation at break. This means that the TPU film can be greatly deformed when stretched without breaking immediately, giving it the potential to be used in some occasions where flexibility is required, such as in some catheters, drainage tubes and other products in the medical field, which can adapt to various movements and bends of the body while maintaining good sealing and strength.
In addition, the tensile properties of TPU film also have good stability. Whether it changes at room temperature or within a certain temperature range, its basic properties of tensile strength and elongation at break can remain relatively stable, and will not have obvious performance degradation due to the influence of environmental temperature and other factors, which further improves its reliability and practicability in different application scenarios.
